Waste site gets an extension
7:00am Friday 3rd September 2010
A WASTE management site in Sandon has been given the go-ahead for an extension of four years.
Sandon Quarry, in Southend Road, has been granted permission from Essex County Council to continue developing the site with the construction of its in-vessel composting facility.
The original permission said operations should finish by the end of December last year, with equipment removed by March this year. That has been extended to December 2013 and March 2014.
