Overnight roadworks planned on A12 near Chelmsford

ROADWORKS to improve safety on a section of the A12 get underway next week.
The Highways Agency will start work on the scheme on Monday, February 13 which will involve stabilising the embankment slope between the A12 northbound carriageway and northbound exit slip road at junction 17 for the Howe Green interchange, near Chelmsford.
Other work to be carried out includes repairs to the drainage system on the embankment and new safety barriers at the interchange.
It will be carried out overnight on week nights only and will be finished by the end of March.
One lane of the northbound carriageway on the A12 will be closed, as well as the exit slip road at junction 17 between 8pm and 5am.
There will also be a 50 mph speed limit and diversions in place.
