Keep your Valentine safe

1:30pm Friday 10th February 2012

LOVE is in the air and men can show their wives and girlfriends just how much they care by keeping their other halves safe.

Andrea Clark, founder of personal security alarm specialists Safe Girl Security, said the safety gadgets might not be at the top of everyone’s wish lists during Valentine’s Day celebrations but they can make a difference to how safe women feel when they walking home from work or a shopping trip.

Andrea, who runs the online business from her Chelmsford home, said: “They are designed as fashion accessories to hang off handbags or on key rings, or if she’s really fit, to take with her running.

“Flowers and chocolates are great, and may well do the trick, but why not go the extra mile and send her a cutesy toy too, one that will help keep her safe and sound when she’s out and about in these dark, bitingly cold nights.”

As well as supplying trendy personal alarms and safety gadgets for girls, teenagers, students, young women and parents with toddlers, the company also works with the police, nightclubs and charities, to promote personal safety.

Practical information on personal safety, including email alerts, leaflets, and useful tips for young women are also available at www.safe-girl.co.uk
